This 7 Days Self Drive Uganda Safari Tour starts at the Entebbe International Airport to Kibale Forest National Park for Chimpanzee Tracking, Bwindi Forest National Park for Gorilla Trekking and Lake Mburo National Park for Wildlife Tours. This trip is tailored for Clients that are camping in their landcruiser with rooftop tents or staying in Luxury Lodges as recommended below.

Self Drive Uganda Limited is registered with Uganda Tourism Board and will secure for you the primate Permits at no Extra costs like Gorilla Permits, Chimpanzee Tracking Permits.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Shopping in Entebbe Malls

Upon arrival at Entebbe international Airport, you will be welcomed by the team of Self drive Uganda limited that will orient you about the rental Jeeps and the Rooftop tent, transfer you to entebbe malls for shopping and preparation for your 7 Days Uganda Safari that encompass the Chimpanzee Watching & Gorilla trekking.

Dinner and overnight at Via Via Guest house or Entebbe backpackers. Camping in your Rooftop Tents.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

7 Days Self Drive Uganda Safari TourWake up have breakfast then with your luggage transfer to the stunning Kibale Forest National Park located a few kilometres off Fort Portal Town a journey that offers you views of the green terrain vegetation, birds and when you reach the Park proceed to check-in your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight.  Camping at Rweteera Safari park with your rooftop tent Landcruiser.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

Wake up early have breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing on the Dos and Don’ts around the Chimpanzees then later in groups of 6 with a park ranger guide, penetrate the forest to track the Chimpanzees for 2-4 hours and when you meet them.

only an hour is allowed in their presence taking numerous photos to keep for memories.  After Chimpanzee Tracking, proceed back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Camping as above.

Day 4: Transfer to Mgahinga National Park

7 Days Self Drive Uganda Safari TourWake up have breakfast then with your luggage transfer to the stunning Mgahinga National Park located a few kilometres off Kisoro Town and en-route enjoy views of the terrain vegetation, birds as well as lunch. When you reach the Park go Golden Monkey Tracking then after transfer to check-in your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge, Kisoro Tourist Hotel.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga National Park

Wake up early have breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing on the code of conduct around the Mountain Gorillas then later in groups of 8 with a park ranger guide proceed to penetrate the forest to track the Mountain Gorillas for 3-5 hours depending on the current location of the Gorillas and when you meet them only an hour is allowed in their presence taking numerous photos to keep for memories.

After trekking the Gorillas return back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge, Kisoro Tourist Hotel.

Day 6: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to Lake Mburo National Park a journey that takes you 4 to 5 hours with en-route views of the terrain vegetation, birds and lunch break. After a while you reach the Park and have an en-route Game Drive to check-in your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Mihingo Lodge, Mburo Safari Lodge.

Day 7: Game Drive and Departure

Wake up have breakfast then transfer with your luggage to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport to board your flight back home.
