Detailed Itinerary of the 9 Days Primates and Wildlife Tour on Self Drive 

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Mgahinga National Park

The 9 Days Self Drive Uganda Primates and Wildlife Tour starts at the Entebbe International Airport, you transfer to Mgahinga National Park located in the South West of Uganda. En-route, watch the green terrain vegetation, birds and have lunch at Agip Hotel Mbarara and after a while driving you reach the Park then check-in your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge, Kisoro Tourist Hotel.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga National Park

Wake up early have breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing on the code of conduct around the Mountain Gorillas then later in groups of 8 with a park ranger guide, penetrate the forest to track the Mountain Gorillas for 3-5 hours depending on their current location and when you meet them, only an hour is allowed in their presence taking numerous photos to keep for memories.

After Gorilla Trekking, transfer back to check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge, Kisoro Tourist Hotel.

Day 3:  Golden Monkey tracking

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing on the Dos and Don’ts around the Golden Monkeys then later in groups with a park ranger guide, transfer to track the Golden Monkeys for 2-4 hours as you follow them on various trails in the forest watching them jumping from one tree branch to another. ake Numerous photos to keep for memories then you can take on an optional guided nature Walk around the green forest and later return to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Mount Gahinga Lodge, Kisoro Tourist Hotel.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage transfer to the stunning Kibale Forest National Park located a few kilometres off Fort Portal Town a journey that offers you views of the green terrain vegetation, birds and when you reach the Park proceed to check-in your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Primates’ lodge Kibale, Chimpanzee View Guest House.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

Wake up early have breakfast then transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing on the Dos and Don’ts around the Chimpanzees then later in groups of 6 with a park ranger guide, penetrate the forest to track the Chimpanzees for 2-4 hours and when you meet them, only an hour is allowed in their presence taking numerous photos to keep for memories.  After Chimpanzee Tracking, proceed back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight.  Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage embark on a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park located kilometres away from Kibale Forest National Park. Wen-route enjoy views of the green terrain, birds and lunch. After a while, you reach the Park and proceed to check-in your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Bush Lodge, Mweya Safari Lodge.

 Day 7: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to enjoy a Game Drive along the various tracks in the Park watching numerous wildlife animals wandering around their natural vegetation habitat then later break off for lunch then later transfer to experience a Boat Cruise along the Kazinga Channel where you watch numerous wildlife animals along the Banks, schools of Hippo and crocodiles. After the Boat Cruise, return back to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Bush Lodge, Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 8: Lion Tracking Experiential

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the Mweya Peninsular of Queen Elizabeth National Park to track the African Lions. You will join the researchers of the Carnivore Project and the tracking Permit costs US $150 per person and space is limited since you transfer with the researchers on a Game Drive following the radio collars attached onto the lions.

When you meet them, you follow the lions throughout their Savannah vegetation habitat. After lion tracking, return to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Bush Lodge, Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 9: Departure to Kampala or Entebbe Airport

Wake up have breakfast then with your luggage, embark on a transfer to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport to board your flight back home.
